Preserving Nature Through Art

 The interplay of light and dark with an emphasis

on back lit images,is a strong focus in my work.

The sense of coming upon a private scene,

the emotions evoked, the mysteries to be found in nature

fill my canvasses.　

 My continuing love of nature, with a growing concern for its fragility, inspires me to capture what I see and feel.   I hope to preserve the wonder these scenes create in me through my paintings.   Lucinda
